ABOUT FOREST EDGE SCHOOL
Our School
Forest Edge School (formerly OEA Education) is an independent specialist provider of education on the Isle of Wight for children aged from 11-14 (Keystage 3) who have a range of severe or complex needs arising from life trauma, Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), attachment disorder or a phobia of education.
We are part of New Forest Care Education, a specialist provider for young people. The school is registered with the DfE to provide up to 8 places for boys and girls.
School Environment
Our school is set in a commercial industrial building, which on the outside, definitely doesn’t look school-like. On the inside, it is welcoming and friendly, with a common open room area, and relaxed but well resourced classrooms that are set out in such a way as to inspire young people to want to come in and engage.
Our classrooms are named after inspirational characters and personalities from the Isle of Wight.
